The Resistance Stories Work
In October 2019, our co-founder Sharanya Sekaram was invited by the Girls Fund partners to take on the role of Curator for South Asia in the first stage of the Resistance Stories, where 15 first-person stories told by girls who resist and women who began their resistance as girls were collected from every country in South Asia, followed by the sharing of stories, insights, and possibilities at a gathering of girls’ fund partners to help them strengthen their funding and advocacy with and for girls internally. We are currently in the second phase of the work where ESSL is working with a regional team to develop materials to share the collected stories across the region and continue working with the global team.
