Asian-Pacific Resource &
Research Centre for Women
(ARROW)

This two-part video series explores abortion experiences in Sri Lanka through intimate, human-centred storytelling. Produced for ARROW
(Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women), the series
draws on real stories from the Family Planning Association's publication,
"A Collection of Stories on Abortion in Sri Lanka," as well as additional narratives collected from the community.

The first video features three true accounts of abortion, highlighting the emotional, social, and systemic challenges faced by women in Sri Lanka. The second video focuses on post-abortion care, raising awareness that access to it is a legal right in Sri Lanka, a fact that remains widely unknown.

Together, these two films aim to challenge stigma, correct misinformation, and empower women with knowledge about their rights within the healthcare system.
